My name is Rafael Wagner; I'm from Düsseldorf, and I'm a happy husband and father of two children. There's no marketing department behind SHAPERS—just my own, very personal story.
Hitting Rock Bottom in Front of the Mirror
In my early 20s, I was significantly overweight—and had been quietly struggling with gynecomastia since puberty. I didn’t feel comfortable at work, and in my personal life, I withdrew from others. Back then, especially in male-dominated circles, no one talked openly about things like that.
SHAPERS was founded
I founded SHAPERS in 2019 out of my own need—to offer an option to men who were in a similar situation. Back then, I was significantly heavier than I am today. Next to me is the first prototype from our factory. There were plenty of tools available for women, but nothing comparable for men.
Consciously Opposing the Surgery
I’ve lost a lot of weight, but the love handles and gynecomastia are still there—genetics are non-negotiable. I’ve deliberately chosen not to have gynecomastia surgery to this day. I’m incredibly happy to have been able to offer a solution to over 35,000 men in Germany so far.
